Your baby this week

  • Fingers and toes begin to form, still joined by thin webbing.
  • The baby makes small movements but is far too small for you to feel them.
  • The inner parts of the ear form, which will later help with hearing and balance.
  • The lips, the tip of the nose and the eyelids appear.

Your body this week

  • Your womb is growing and your clothes may feel tighter at the waist, even though there is no bump to see yet.
  • Many women have vivid dreams and broken sleep.
  • White, odourless vaginal discharge increases; this is normal.
